Artist of the Week - Morgan Saddington

Morgan creates unique, one of a kind hand linked silver jewellry using coloured copper and beads as accents. All of her silver chains are handmade from start to finish. The wire links are assembled one at a time into the various patterns of chains, and the clasps are hand forged. The chains are tumble polished to bring out the brilliant silver shine, and a small accent of colour is added with glass beads or stones.

"I have always been drawn to silver jewellery by the appearance and versatility of the metal. The ability to create something with such movement and fluidity from a solid material is what I find so appealing."

Morgan's work has been selected for many juried shows, and her piece "Entwined" received Best Jewellry Award at the 2010 Sooke Fine Art Show.

Morgan's knitted chains feel amazing to the touch - like little silver slinkys. Come in and try on one of her beautiful necklaces or bracelets. We have earrings as well.
